Physics of a Sport: Tennis Serve
The objective of this project is to correctly calculate the momentum, velocity, and the physics of a tennis serve. The video we have provided will explain the correct calculations of a serve. When working with my group I really enjoyed being on the courts and helping with the recording. One part we did well on was when doing the serve, we cooperated very well to get the recording with well audio and video. I learned that while working with my group I could pay more attention to my own work rather than try to wander off to see other groups.

velocity-speed in a certain direction
momentum-is the product of mass and velocity (MxV)
acceleration- is the change in velocity over time
impulse/force-impulse is how the force changes on an object/force is mass x acceleration
Reflection....
this video was very fun and yet also very education. I never new anything about the physics of sports but after this video we learned all about how the ball bounces of the racquet and pick up acceleration as it travels across the court. Although we had a lot of challenges while making the video, technical difficulties, and miscooperation. I would do it all over again because in the project I didn't apply myself as much as I did in the previous project (the rube goldberg). I admit that I didn't have the best group in the class but we had to deal with it and make the best out of it. We learned to work with each other and record and film the movie. our ideas of making the movie help us decide and work it out with each other to make a red carpet stunning movie so sit back relax and enjoy the film!
